Course studied: MA Creative Writing
Originally from India, Pushpam graduated from Bath Spa University with an MA in Creative Writing. He went on to found his own video production company, Kraft Films, in his native country, and he currently works with Bath Spa's Hazard, Risk and Disaster Group to produce research films.
One of his films for a Bath Spa project, Pathways to Resilience, was recently submitted for consideration for the AHRC's Research in Film awards.

Why did you decide to study in the UK at Bath Spa University?
I've always been fascinated with England and decided that it offered a good environment and diverse culture for me to pursue higher education. I chose Bath Spa University primarily because of the credentials that the Creative Writing course had. As a leading University in creativity, culture and enterprise, I felt that the University would be the perfect place for me to meet people from different cultures and experience a variety of different creative arts.

Bath Spa’s campuses are surrounded by beautiful English countryside and rich landscapes. The quiet and calm atmosphere is inspiring, making Bath Spa an ideal place to study Creative Writing. I enjoy the feedback sessions with Professors and fellow students which have helped me to improve my writing and find more inspiration. I'm particularly impressed by the favorable professor to student ratio - I've been able to benefit from small class sizes and individual tutorials.

Pushpam received the Vice Chancellor's International Scholarships from Bath Spa University that contributed £5,000 towards his tuition fees.
