Get paid to undertake a project-based, virtual internship, and support local businesses and charities during this challenging time.
The University is working closely with local businesses to find diverse and rewarding internship opportunities that will support the requirements of local businesses, while also offering you the chance to develop your skills and gain remote work experience.
Projects will cover a variety of topics and may include, but not be limited to:
- Social media management
- Design work
- Music-based projects.
These virtual internships will be between 30-50 hours in total, completed part-time up to 15 hours per week (if in term time). They'll provide you with a unique opportunity to prepare for a digital age where working virtually will become more common, and will enable you to prosper in the graduate market.
The Virtual Internship Scheme will run twice across the academic year:
- Round 1 - October 2020 - January 2021
- Round 2 - March - July 2021.
Round 1 of the scheme will be launched on Monday 19 October during Autumn Workfest. You can register for the event on MyCareer. Keep an eye out in the coming weeks as we'll begin to advertise specific projects across social media and the careers newsletter.
Alternatively, if you know of a local volunteering opportunity in your area, please submit the details to email@example.com – you may be able to be paid for it as part of the Virtual Internships Scheme.
