Submitted your application to become a Bath Spa Teacher and wondering what your next steps should be?
After you’ve applied, you’ll receive a final decision within 40 working days.
Interviews If your application is successful you’ll be interviewed before you can be offered a place. It is your opportunity to share with us your personal qualities and experiences that will allow us to assess your suitability to teach and identify your personal training needs.
You’ll be expected to carry out tasks in preparation for and during your interview. You’ll be notified of any requirements prior to interview.
Subject Knowledge Enhancement courses (Secondary only) Entry to some PGCE programmes is conditional upon completion of a Subject Knowledge Enhancement course. These courses run in the year prior to the PGCE programme.
Fitness to Train to Teach
All our teacher training courses require you to be cleared as fit to train to teach. If you've accepted an offer to study with us, Admissions will be in touch to start this process. We've put together some detailed guidance to help you with this.
Congratulations – we hope you’re looking forward to becoming a Bath Spa Teacher. We’ll send you a DBS application, a medical form and a suitability declaration which you’ll need to complete and return to us.
