Our beautiful Corsham Court campus in Wiltshire is where much of our postgraduate study and research takes place. The campus is concealed within a grade 1 listed country house, surrounded by stunning gardens complete with peacocks.

The majority of our master’s courses are taught at Corsham Court campus. The campus is also home of our Research Support Office, which works on research funding bids, post award administration and knowledge exchange.

On-campus facilities include a library, specialist facilities for music and textiles, an art gallery, postgraduate common rooms and quiet study areas. Meeting and seminar rooms are available for you to book and use.

Bath Spa University has a long history with Corsham Court and the Methuen family who own it. Bath Academy of Art moved to Corsham Court in 1946 and provided higher education in specialist art and design, teacher training, performing arts and combined arts. Bath Academy of Art then became Bath School of Art and Design which is now part of the University.

How to get to Corsham Court

Driving from the M4 Motorway

Exit at junction 17 and join the A350 southbound. After 2.6 miles, at the roundabout, take the second exit onto the A350 Cepen Way and continue to follow the A350. At the third roundabout (Bumpers' Farm), take the third exit following signs to Bath. At the second roundabout, take the third exit onto the A4 Bath Road, continue to follow signs to Bath. After three miles turn left at the traffic lights into Corsham. Continue straight over the first mini-roundabout and the long-stay car park will be found on the left.

Please note that general parking is not permitted within the grounds of Corsham Court.

Driving from Bath

Take the A4 towards Chippenham. Upon entering Corsham, take the second exit at roundabout onto B3353 Pickwick Road. Follow signs towards the town centre. At the second mini-roundabout, turn left onto Newlands Road, go straight over the next mini-roundabout, and the long-stay car park will be found on the left.

There is free on-street parking available around the town of Corsham.

There is a long-stay car park which has a pay and display.

Train

If you're visiting Corsham Court by train we recommend you travel to Chippenham railway station. You can then take a bus from Chippenham bus station a short walk away.

Catch the FareSaver X31 service. The closest bus stop to Corsham Court is Newlands Road, and from there it's a short walk to campus.

Plane

Bristol Airport is the closest airport to Corsham, it’s about 30 miles away. You can fly to Bristol from most major cities, including Edinburgh, Paris, Brussels, Dublin, Amsterdam and New York. To travel from Bristol Airport to Corsham Court, you can take an Airport Bus to Bristol Temple Meads railway station and then hop on a train to Chippenham railway train station (which is the nearest station to Corsham).

You can also fly to London Heathrow, London Stansted, or London Gatwick and take a train to London Paddington railway station. From here you can travel onwards to Bath Spa railway station.
