MediaWall is located in the atrium space of Commons – a three storey high glazed area linking two floors in the building. Made up of 30 screens it’s an impressive feature, spanning two-storeys high and reaching up over 7 metres.

MediaWall displays projects which can be viewed from all of the floors in Commons. Many of the works reach beyond the digital sphere, interacting with people, surrounding or objects.

The impressive feature gives students and staff the chance to work creatively across a range of media, create inter disciplinary collaborations, and connect with our global partners.

“Many of the works reach beyond the digital sphere, interacting with people, surrounding or objects.”

MediaWall works are shown to a large audience. Our Newton Park campus has over 9,000 staff and students plus 8,000 visitors annually, and a range of international summer schools.

The wall consists of thirty display panels arranged in a 3x10 grid. The overall size is 7.35m high x 3.75m wide. Unlike projection installations, panels are clearly visible under direct sunlight, enabling works to be experienced at any time of day.
