Jas Raymond-Barker

Personal statement

Jas is the current SU President elect, in post until Summer 2025. They are the lead spokesperson for the Students' Union and all Bath Spa University students, chairing the Students’ Union Board of Trustees and working closely with the University’s senior management team to champion student interest.

Jas also leads on sustainability, transport, student utilities and long term strategy within the SU. They studied at the university from 2020-2023, graduating with a Combined BA (Hons) in Creative Writing and Education Studies and a specialism in social identity.

Jas has been involved with Amnesty International UK nationally and at Bath Spa, passionate about Human Rights activism, so brings that to their work in decolonisation, research into ethical investment and with the intersectional identities we have in our community. 

She loves dogs, art and character focused storytelling - writing and illustrating comics in her spare time.
