Our team is here to help you cope with student life, build resilience, and enable you to engage with your own mental health.
We provide a variety of drop-in, one to one sessions, and workshops. These can assist with a variety of issues.

Our mental health services
A series of workshops throughout the academic year, designed to help students get the most out of university life, including 'Building Resilience' and 'Mindfulness'.
Mental health advice
Our Mental Health practitioners work with students who are experiencing mental health illness or who have a mental health diagnosis. Students are offered specialist advice, guidance and support to help them maintain their mental well-being.
Counselling offers students the chance to explore concerns, in a private and confidential setting. Students are offered an initial assessment session and then may be offered up to four sessions – other sources of help will also be discussed.
Solution focused practice
Our solution focused practitioners work with students who are experiencing emotional distress, such as stress, anxiety or sleep problems, depression, and lack of motivation. Our practitioners will help you establish some concrete outcomes /goals for the sessions whilst co-constructively help you to create a clear picture of what success might look like (your preferred future) whilst drawing on your own capabilities, strengths, resources and competence.
The Wellbeing Advisor works with students who are experiencing emotional difficulties, such as stress, anxiety, worry and panic attacks. During these sessions, students are empowered through evidence based tools and techniques, which help to relieve their symptoms of distress.
