We provide a range of services and departments to support you as an international student.

As a close-knit community of global citizens, we'll provide you with many opportunities to thrive while at Bath Spa University.

As part of our dedicated support service for international students, we'll welcome you at the airport and your halls of residence.

We'll send you the latest news and updates in a regular newsletter to your student email, so please make sure you check your email regularly.

Academic support

Based at the Library, the Writing and Learning Centre is here to help with your academic pursuits. We offer one-to-one appointments to help with assignments and a wide range of Academic and Digital Literacy Skills workshops.


Interested in exploring our accommodation options before you arrive? Our Accommodation team can provide you with all the help you need, whether you’re planning to live in halls of residence, private housing or a homestay.


Our Careers team is here to advise you on how to work towards your personal career goals. We can advise you on:

  • Finding part-time jobs
  • Internships and volunteering
  • CVs and cover letters
  • Job interviews
  • Finding summer work
  • Planning your next steps after graduation
  • Scholarships

You'll also have access to Student Circus, a global career resource for international students.

Clubs and societies

With over 70 clubs and societies for you to choose from, you'll have plenty of opportunities to make friends and take a break from your studies.

English language support

If English isn’t your first language, studying your degree in it can be challenging. The English Language Unit (ELU) is here to make sure you meet those challenges with confidence and make the most of your student journey.

We run individual one-to-one tutorials, language surgeries and six week short courses throughout the academic year.

Exchange students

If you’re studying at Bath Spa University as a visiting international exchange student, the Go Global team is your first point of contact. For any queries, please email

The Go Global office is located in room G02 in Main House. We’re open every day during term-time, 10am - 4pm.

Fees and finance

If you have any queries relating to your tuition fees, how to make a payment or how to transfer money from overseas, please contact our Finance Team who’ll be happy to assist you.


Graduation is a chance to celebrate your academic achievement with friends, family and fellow students. We know how important this day is for our students and our Graduation team is here to help answer all of your questions.

Scholarships and bursaries

We offer a wide range of scholarships and bursaries to support you financially during your time at Bath Spa.

Students' Union

The Students’ Union (SU) promotes your interests and welfare during your course. We provide free, confidential advice and support to all Bath Spa students and host a range of events for you to get involved with.

Wellbeing support

The Student Wellbeing Services are here to help you get the most out of your time at Bath Spa. We offer drop-in sessions and bookable appointments and aim to respond to all initial enquiries within 36 working hours. 

We're open all year round and encourage you to get in contact if you have any queries or concerns.

Visas and immigration

The Immigration Advice Service provides high quality, impartial and free immigration advice to current students, applicants and recent graduates. If you require more in-depth advice and guidance, we can arrange in-person or online appointments.

For any immigration-related queries, call +44 (0)1225 875645 or email Alternatively, join one of our online drop-in sessions or meet us in person at the Student Hub (Twiverton) on Tuesday afternoons between 1.30pm and 4.30pm during term-time. These sessions are run by the Immigration Advice Service and Immigration Compliance Team.

Photo competition

Reflect on your identity and experiences as an international student by entering our international photo competition. The winners will receive £100 and an invite to a reception with the Mayor of Bath!
