When you think of what a Careers service should offer - that’s probably what our Central Services team handles, plus a lot more! They work on our events, mentoring scheme, Bath Spa Award scheme, internal marketing and resources, as well as delivering the majority of student support.

Our School Curriculum Team works with academic schools to embed and align employability, enterprise, and entrepreneurialism into the curriculum to help students progress into positive graduate outcomes. Each of our Partner colleagues has specific school links.

The Placements team oversees the Professional Placement Year (PPY) and our Bath Spa Works: Internships programme. They work with local businesses to provide exciting work opportunities, and ensure that students’ placements are meaningful and support them in their development.

Bath Spa students are renowned for their creative and entrepreneurial spirit, and this specialist team supports our large community of students and graduates who are interested in setting up their own business or working freelance. They also oversee EMERGE - Bath Spa University’s unique multidisciplinary studio residency space and creative incubator.

We’re a proud member of the Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services (AGCAS) and follow their work experience standard guide and position on impartiality.
We have advertising guidelines that all employers must adhere to before any position becomes available for students to view, and have several guiding principles as part of our ethics and sustainability position statement on how we work with businesses involved with sensitive environmental, social and governance matters.
