Thought provoking research

Our research addresses contemporary environmental problems such as resource depletion, environmental injustice, oceanic pollution and acidification, anthropogenic climate change, and escalating extinctions.

Let your campus be your classroom

Set amidst a rural landscape outside Bath, our Newton Park campus is a superb natural laboratory where you can study the environment first hand. 

Recently we launched Bath Spa Observer, a digital mapping platform that captures local environmental data and heritage for University and public use. 

Enhance your employability

Our Environmental Studies alumni go on to diverse work in such fields as waste and energy management, sustainable development and economy, and wildlife consultancy.

They have worked for such companies as BSSEC, Hyder Consulting, Jones Environmental Forensics, and the RSPB Wildlife Charity.

Go further afield

We offer a number of field trips and external travel as part of our Environment courses, from visiting local businesses and conservancy bodies, to taking part in our study abroad and exchange programmes.
