FAQs
Do you still have burning questions? Let us answer them!
It all depends on whether the course you hold a conditional offer for is full or not. If it is full, there is a chance that you will be rejected or be offered a place on an alternative course. If, however, the course is not full, the Admissions Team will return to your application and reconsider whether your place could still be confirmed.
The admissions team will consider every application individually. Much also depends on when you apply. If you apply close to the UCAS deadline at the end of January, there will be a backlog of applications and it can take up to several weeks for an offer to be made or an invitation to interview/audition or a portfolio request to be made. At other times, do not be surprised if you receive a decision in less than one week. We are conscious that you want your decisions quickly, but we are also keen to ensure that our courses are your best fit.
If you already have your qualifications the admissions team will automatically consider you for an unconditional offer. In these circumstances we will contact you to provide scans of your certificates.
If you pass through our robust selection process, which could involve a portfolio assessment and/or an interview/audition, then we will in most cases make an unconditional offer. Our academic teams, through the portfolio/interview/audition process, assess you and your work, giving us a more accurate view of your potential than predicted grades alone. This will give us the confidence to make an unconditional offer, as we will know you have what it takes to succeed.
If you're interested in an undergraduate course, you can still apply for a place via UCAS. For postgraduate courses, you should use the Apply Now button located in the centre of the course webpage. More information can be found on our International pages.
UCAS sets deadlines for when you need to make up your mind. View the dates on the UCAS website.
In most cases you can defer your application or offer until the next academic year. If you would like to defer your confirmed place please email your request to - admissions@bathspa.ac.uk. Please make sure to include your UCAS Personal ID (or Bath Spa ID number), date of birth and your full name
Applicants can book a guided or virtual tour of our campuses online. Please note: visits subject to government guidance.
It isn’t too late to make changes to your application, but it does depend on what you want to change. For specific guidance on changing your course please visit UCAS.
