School of Creative Industries

Nurturing the creative talent that future employers are looking for

The School of Creative Industries puts creativity and innovation at the heart of teaching. Whether it’s writing a novel, directing a film, designing a game or publishing a children’s book, we help our students to be creative on multiple platforms, using all media.

From day one, we prepare our students to develop their creativity and to learn how the industry works. By the time our students graduate, they are ready to compete for jobs in the UK’s booming Creative Industries sector.

Our courses work directly with big names such as Pinewood Studios, IBM, Penguin/RandomHouse and TedX, to name just a few.

The School’s honorary doctorates include Roger Deakins (Director of Photography on Skyfall and Bladerunner), Lord Puttnam (eight-time Oscar winner) and Col Needham (CEO of IMDb).

"The course had a fantastic reputation, the tutors all had successful writing careers themselves or were industry professionals, and the campus looked like an inspiring place to learn and write, surrounded by beautiful trees and peacocks."
