We're looking forward to welcoming your group for their university visit day!
A visit day gives your students the opportunity to visualise life on campus, understand relevant courses they might like to study and view the resources and facilities a university has to offer. We ensure the day involves hands-on, fun and practical activities so the students are always involved with their learning.
Before your visit
To secure your place, please complete our booking form.
Your outreach officer will let you know the deadline for completing it, to ensure that we can plan your day effectively. The information within the form will be used when reporting to the Office for Students (OfS) when reporting our activities.
Please ensure that all accompanying staff have read the following document before your visit:
Lunch
Unless otherwise agreed, please remember to bring packed lunches with you. If your visit is outside of our academic term time, our catering outlets may be closed.
If you are an accompanying adult, please bring your own reusable mug to claim your free hot drink.
School staff have full responsibility for their students' health and safety and therefore we ask that you stay with your school party throughout the day.
Arriving on campus
Students will need to be dropped off at the Library bus stop, where a BSU Student Ambassador will be waiting to greet you and guide your group to your room.

Coaches and minibuses
- Coaches and minibuses can park on-site, but this is subject to change depending on the date of the event or other parking issues, for example if there are not enough parking spaces. We will confirm if parking can be provided.
- You will not need a parking permit to park on site with a coach or minibus. Coaches may be parked in the car park between our Maple and Holly halls of residence.
Private vehicles
- If visitors would like to park on-site, we will need to know the car registration number before the event to ensure that your number plate is recognised on the ANPR system.
- Please inform the Outreach Officer of any specific requirements for parking – for example, a disabled parking bay. If using disabled parking spaces, you must ensure you display your blue badge clearly.
