Bath Spa University (BSU) is officially “Open for Business” and to celebrate this, will be hosting its inaugural business showcase at our Newton Park campus on 3 June 2026.

Join us to find out how BSU can work with you to address the challenges your business is facing and learn more about upcoming opportunities, now and in the future.

The showcase will consist of a networking breakfast, keynote presentations, case study sessions, guided facility tours, and a lunchtime networking reception.

During this event you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Hear from businesses about the benefits of working with Bath Spa University and the impact this has had on their day-to-day operations and growth  
  • Learn how to address existing and future skills gaps, develop and locate talent and gain real value through placements, internships and recruitment support  
  • Discover what innovative projects BSU staff and students are currently working on, and find out how to get involved  
  • Attend talks from experts and practitioners about subjects such as supporting the human side of transformation activities, growing a sustainable business, working with freelancers and undertaking cost effective research  
  • Meet members of the BSU community who are addressing real challenges such as sustainable growth and find out how to apply these practices in business  
  • Find out about BSU’s strengths, such as in design, innovation, technology and creativity, are being applied to business and management challenges  
  • Learn how BSU experts have helped solve real business problems, e.g legal and HR issues   
  • Tour the specialist facilities at the University (such as TV and podcast studios) and find out how to access equipment and resources at attractive rates and with the technical expertise needed to maximise your investment  
  • Visit the impressive locations and spaces which can bring a new dimension to your conference and meeting needs. 

The Showcase promotes the University’s key strengths in a day which is designed to develop real connections and meaningful conversations – especially among the local and everyday economy. You’ll also have plenty of chances to network with likeminded businesses throughout the day.

Showcase Schedule

  • 8am: Breakfast and networking 
  • 9:30am: Keynote speaker and morning talks 
  • 9:30am - 4pm: Tours of Newton Park specialist facilities
  • 12:30pm: Lunch 
  • 2pm: Official end of Showcase
