Bath Spa University sponsors 2025 Bath Boules tournament

For the second year running, Bath Spa University is getting into the community spirit and doing a bit of ‘le fundraising’ by sponsoring the 2025 Bath Boules tournament on Thursday 3 July.  

Bath Boules is a fundraising event held in the iconic Queen Square every summer. Beginning over 30 years ago as a small contest between locals, the event has grown into a weekend-long festival with a tournament between up to 64 teams each day, a food market, bar, music and entertainment. As a sponsor, BSU will be contributing to the Bath Boules Trust, raising money for vital causes in the city.

BSU staff will join other local organisations and businesses to play in the tournament, network and promote the University. As sponsors, they’ll also have the honour of presenting the trophy to the day’s winning team.  

Lucy Stone, Head of Communications and Brand Development at BSU, said: 

“The Bath Boules tournament is one of the highlights of the Bath calendar and we are delighted to be headline sponsors for the second year running. Bath Boules is a really great opportunity for our professionally creative staff to meet, connect and engage with other businesses and community groups from the local area, play some boules and raise money for good causes at the same time.”  

Proceeds from the tournament go to local charities and are distributed via the Bath Boules Trust. To date the event has raised over £500,000 for more than 70 charities including: Julian House, Mind Bath, The RUH Forever Friends Appeal, Off the Record, Age UK and many more.
