Anna Gravelle

Personal statement

Anna Gravelle is Joint Programme Leader for BA (Hons) Textile Design and also contributes to the MA Design and MA Fine Art programmes. She has been working in the creative and cultural sector for over 30 years. 

Originally a documentary television producer and director producing arts and music programming, Anna returned to designing and making and set up her eponymous business in 2013 producing bespoke interior textiles for international private clients and interior designers and the hospitality sector.  Her clients include, Hilton Hotel Group, Saga Cruise, SMC Art, Soho Art Consulting, Echlin Studio, Obegi Home, Bryant Keller, Living Interiors, Guilded Ltd. 

Anna has exhibited widely in the UK at events such as London Art Fair, Decorex, London Craft Week and in 2022 had a solo show, Rarefied Landscape at Contemporary Applied Arts.  

Since joining Bath Spa University in 2013, Anna has used her professional knowledge and experience throughout her teaching across all levels of the undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

Anna joined Bath Spa University in 2013 as Technical Demonstrator in Embroidery and Designer in Residence before joining the academic team as a Lecturer and Pathway Leader on the MA Design Textiles course.  In 2022 she became Joint Programme Leader of the BA (Hon) Textile Design course.
