Antony Durbacz

Personal statement

Antony is a Chartered accountant who has lived in Somerset for 30 years. He is an experienced finance professional who has considerable board and executive experience within several large international blue-chip companies. These have included organisations involved in professional services, aerospace, healthcare, and personal care. Within these roles he has developed key skills in business strategy, operational effectiveness, and risk management.

In recent years, Antony has been involved as a non-executive director in organisations focused on local communities in the South West. These roles cover social housing, health, and secondary school education.

He is currently a board member of LiveWest Housing Association, a social landlord which builds and manages affordable housing and supports local communities across the South West of England. He is a non-executive director for the RUH Bath NHS foundation trust that delivers secondary healthcare to Bath and North East Somerset. He is also a trustee at Crispin Academy in Street. Each of these organisations operate in a regulated environment and on each of these boards he has lead responsibility as Chair of the Audit Committees.
