Personal statement

Iliana Depounti is a Research Associate at BRAID Sustainable AI Futures. She holds a PhD in Communication and Media from Loughborough University, where she also earned an MSc in Social Science Research. Iliana additionally holds an MA in Digital Media Management from Birkbeck, University of London.

Her research explores the intersections of artificial intelligence, society, and human–machine communication. Her work has been published in journals such as Media, Culture & Society, New Media & Society and Human-Machine Communication.
