Sue Lane

Personal statement

Sue Lane is a highly respected and knowledgeable generalist People Director operating at senior level, within differing organisational cultures of blue-chip companies drawn from a range of industry sectors – manufacturing, food, pharmaceuticals, construction, financial services and consultancy. She has considerable board and executive experience – most recently 11 years for a mutual building society and now in a Trust in the care sector. Sue is currently the HR Director for The Order of St John's Care Trust. 

Prior to joining this Board, Sue served for 7 years on the Board of Chwarae Teg, a Welsh charity that inspires, leads and delivers gender equality in Wales. She was appointed as vice chair in 2014 and appointed as chair in April 2018, standing down in June 2019. 

Sue has an MBA from Cranfield School of Management and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. Born in Somerset, Sue has lived in Bath for over 20 years.
