Royal Commonwealth Scholarship
A £500 scholarship for international students from commonwealth countries.
Two successful applicants will each receive £500 towards supporting their studies at Bath Spa University. The payments will be made in two instalments – the first in term one, and the second after reading week in term two.
The Royal Commonwealth Society
This scholarship is funded by the Royal Commonwealth Society Bath and District, an educational charity working in Bath and the surrounding area.
The charity's aim is to promote international understanding through the vehicle of the modern Commonwealth.
Criteria
To be eligible, you must meet the following criteria:
- You are an international student from an international commonwealth country (UK Home students are not eligible).
- Your main place of residence is an international commonwealth country (outside of the UK)
- You are enrolled on an undergraduate or postgraduate degree at Bath Spa University for September intake.
- You must be a Bath Spa University student studying at either Newton Park, Sion Hill, Locksbrook, Corsham Court or BSU London (Hoxton). Students studying at our Educational Partner institutes are not eligible.
Application deadline
Applications will open in early October. The deadline to submit your application is 9am (GMT) on Monday 28 October 2024.
How to apply
- Fill in the application form.
- Include a short essay (maximum of 500 words) to demonstrate how your degree will benefit both your career post-university and the community in your country of residence.
- Email the application form and short essay to s.knowles@bathspa.ac.uk.
How applications are judged
The successful applicants will be selected by the Scholarships and Bursaries Disbursement Panel.
The Panel aims to convene within four weeks following the application deadline. Applicants should expect to receive decision feedback within six weeks of the deadline.
