Gunn Chit Ean Scholarship
A £1,500 scholarship for undergraduates studying Education.
Each year, The School of Education selects one student to receive the Gunn Chit Ean Scholarship based on both merit and need. The student will be expected to be committed to a career in Education for at least two years after receiving the award.
There are no restrictions on the use of the £1,500 scholarship, and the award shall be granted after the student’s final graduation examinations and before graduation.
Criteria
There's no need to apply for this scholarship. Eligible students will be considered and, following consultation between the School of Education and the award administrator (Careers and Employability), a winning recipient will be selected.
You are eligible if you are:
- A final-year (Level 6) undergraduate studying at either Newton Park, Sion Hill, Locksbrook or Corsham Court. Students studying at BSU London or via BSU’s Educational Partner institutes or other providers and students on exchange programmes, distance learning or other modes of study are not eligible.
- A School of Education student studying an undergraduate Education degree. Joint subjects are eligible.
- Completing final assessments and graduating in the summer cohort of the same academic year, i.e. your final year begins in September and you graduate in the following July/summer graduation cohort.
The recipient is also expected to be committed to a career within education for at least two years after receiving the award.
After the winning recipient has been confirmed, they will be contacted via their BSU email address with instructions about how to accept the award and outlining any actions required (including the timeframe within which these must be completed).
