The Hall Commonwealth Scholarship

One international student from a commonwealth country will be awarded a stipend of £12,500 over the course of their undergraduate degree.

For students studying a degree without a placement year, payments will be made as follows:

• Year 1: £4,000
• Year 2: £4,000
• Year 3: £4,500

Those studying a degree with a placement year will be receive payments will be made as follows:

• Year 1: £3,000
• Year 2: £3,000
• Year 3: £3,000 (placement year)
• Year 4: £3,500

The Hall Commonwealth Scholarship is supported by Godfrey and Sue Hall, to assist one successful student in their studies at Bath Spa University.

Criteria 

You're eligible for this scholarship if:

• Your main place of residence is an international commonwealth country
• You are currently enrolled on an undergraduate degree at Bath Spa University for September intake

Application deadline

• 9.00am (GMT), Monday 4 December 2023

How to apply

1. Fill in the application form.
2. Write a short essay to demonstrate how your degree will benefit both the community in your country of residence, and your career post-university.
3. Email the application form and short essay to daro@bathspa.ac.uk.

Please note: If you are successful, you will be invited to an introductory meeting with Godfrey and Sue Hall which you are expected to make reasonable effort to attend.

How applications are judged

The successful applicant will be decided by the University Disbursement Panel in early November and applicants will be notified shortly afterwards.
