The second cohort of students has graduated from Bath Spa University London (BSU London).

Twenty-three students graduated in Business and Management, and Business and Management (Tourism), nine of which attended the graduation ceremony in BSU London’s building at the New City Campus in Hackney on Wednesday, 16 November.
The graduates were conferred their degrees by Bath Spa University Provost Georgina Andrews.

Professor Andrews said:

“I am delighted to confer degrees on the second cohort of Bath Spa University students graduating in London. Our London students often juggle busy working lives, families and caring responsibilities alongside their studies. They have overcome unprecedented challenges. We are thrilled for them! Congratulations to all our graduates, and thanks to everyone who has supported them.”

As well as speeches by Professor Georgina Andrews, and Dr Lisette Johnston, Head of Bath Spa London, Bath Spa alumnus Matt “Mills” Miller (BA (Hons) Graphic Design, 2000), co-founder of digital product studio ustwo, and the games company behind the hugely successful Monument Valley series, inspired the graduates with the story of taking his vision from the shed to multinational B-Corp employee-owned company.

Dr Johnston said:

"For the students, today marks the end of a long journey, but also a chance to embrace both old and new relationships and connections in London, a global centre of business. They leave not just with a degree but with contacts and a supportive network of fellow graduates. And it's also the beginning of a new phase for them. But we never stop learning, and as educators we are continually learning from our students about how to be agile and deliver the most relevant and positive student experience on our London campus."

London-based Bath Spa alumni were also invited to go along and help celebrate the achievements of the new graduates, take the opportunity to see the BSUL campus, and speak to members of the Bath Spa Employability and Careers Team and representatives from the current Students’ Union Sabbatical Officers.
