Honorary Education Degrees

Calling all alumni who completed a Certificate of Education before 1982 - you could be in the running for an Honorary Degree
Monday, 4 October, 2021Teachers are invaluable to our communities - and they have worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic to maintain educational standards as much as possible.
We want to honour our alumni who completed a Certificate of Education before 31 December 1981 at one of our predecessor colleges and highlight their achievements.
Applicants will be asked to produce certificates of completion, or as much detail about their course as possible (so we can find them in our school records), to be considered for an Honorary Education Degree.
Kyriaki Anagnostopoulou, Head of the School of Education, said:
“We’re urging our alumni who fit the criteria to come forward as soon as possible. We want to celebrate their achievements, share memories of their time with us, and highlight the importance of what teachers bring to our lives.
We're planning a ceremony, restrictions allowing, so we really honour and celebrate the achievements that our alumni have made throughout their careers.”
Any albums, photographs, stories, paperwork and other reference materials would also be very welcome, to make sure as many memories as possible are preserved.
Alumni who fit the criteria are asked to complete the application form on our website.
