Talk It Out Tuesdays - a new series to meet our academics and talk about important issues launches

Monday, 12 July, 2021

Talk It Out Tuesdays, a regular short video series discussing important and topical issues, will be launching Tuesday 13 July on our University Instagram feed.

Our first episode is called ‘The Importance of Reading Women in the Contemporary Literary Canon’ and is hosted by current postgraduate student and member of the Student Experience Team, Georgia Stride.

The first ever guests are Kelly Jones, English undergraduate and Student Communications Ambassador, and Dr Nic Presley, Senior Lecturer in English Literature at Bath Spa University.

“It’s a really great way of finding out more about all the amazing work our academics are doing, and how the topics of discussion impact our daily lives,” Georgia says. “We wanted to create a format that’s easy for people to follow and access, so decided to create a series of short videos on lots of interesting topics and themes.”

The content, though aimed at students, will hopefully be of interest to members of the public, too. For each episode, a list of resources (see below) will also be made available, to find out more.

Want to suggest a topic for discussion? Please head over to our Instagram feed and give us your thoughts.
