Bath Arts Collective is a community interest company that drives, develops and contributes to a collective, vibrant and varied arts and events scene in Bath and surrounding areas.

Bath Arts Collective (BAC) was founded by three talented and experienced arts professionals, Kate Hall, Kate Abbey and Jasmine Barker. Between them, they have created, produced and marketed over 2,500 events across books, music and film festivals: an incredible and award-winning track record.

Their mission is to provide a rolling programme of curated events centred around books, film, art, and music. Additionally, they provide consultancy services on events programming, production and marketing.

They want to bring together arts organisations and venues across the city by creating a network that collaborates and supports each other.

Partnership

Through this partnership, Bath Spa University sponsored BAC’s Curious Minds Festival in March 2025, which included a collaborative event with renowned BBC journalist and presenter Ros Atkins. Ros visited the Newton Park Campus to discuss his book and share the secrets he learned from years of working in high-pressure newsrooms, with guests leaving having learned valuable tips for their communications toolset.

As part of BAC’s festival, BSU also developed events of special interest for students and recent graduates.

BAC’s energy and aims echo many of the University’s own goals, particularly surrounding creativity, inclusivity, and diversifying the landscape of events and opportunities across the City of Bath.
