Offering opportunities to all across Bath and North East Somerset and beyond.

The Inclusive Communities team supports and empowers individuals from structurally disadvantaged communities to access and engage in creative and cultural activities, skills development and education through region-wide partnerships. These partnerships range from Devolved Authorities to small cultural organisations and freelance artists.

Through these partnerships we are developing and opening accessible, community led creative and maker spaces in Bath, the Somer Valley and West of England wide.

We offer:

Creative Skill Development

Workshops and courses offering a gentle light touch, open and accessible opportunities supporting people to develop green, creative and digital skills as well as to build confidence, improve wellbeing and develop sustainable creative careers.

Funded by the West of England Combined Authority and working with Little Lost Robot in Radstock, this opportunity is for you if you are:

  • 19+ and unemployed
  • 19+, earning under the real living wage (£23,400 per year) and/or you are over the age of 50.

Culture West

The Inclusive Communities team leads on the Culture West project for Bath Spa University. It's an ambitious region wide two-year programme that will open the creative sector to more diverse talent, ensure more communities take part and create art experiences, and build a resilient sector that will drive economic growth in the West of England.

Read more about the project here and on the West of England Combined Authority’s website.

Education and Outreach

Working with schools to co-design creative spaces, building skills and resilience in children and adults.
