Join this unique Screen-Printing course, led by professional artist Dominic McKeown. During this course, you'll discover how to create your drawings and transfer your images onto a screen to produce a series of prints that will explore techniques including drawing, mark making, cutouts and stencils.
You’ll experiment with opaque and translucent inks to produce a series of layered screen prints, including CYMK process, that will enhance your printing skills and confidence.
By the end of the course, you’ll have produced a suite of paper prints of your artwork.
Intermediate Screen-printing is designed for artists and small businesses who want to learn to produce artwork, whether for your own use at home, or to sell.

This course will take place at Locksbrook Campus, Bath, BA1 3EL.

- Wednesday 17 September for six weeks, Wednesdays 6pm – 8:30pm
This short course costs £270 per person.
All materials for this course will be provided except for specialist paper. Paper of various sizes can be purchased at Locksbrook Campus.
You’re advised to wear old clothes as the print workshop can be a messy place.
Meet the team
Dominic McKeown is an artist with extensive experience in technical demonstration and workshop facilitation, specialising in silk screen printing, sculpture and installation.
He graduated from Textiles Art Design and Fashion (BA) at Ulster University in 2017 and an MFA in Sculpture and Installation in 2020. Through in-depth study he has gained specialist knowledge in screen printing: understanding processes including degreasing screens, coating emulsions, the mesh ratio, exposure time, de-coating and repairing screens.
Throughout Dominic’s higher education, artistic career and industry experience, he has also gained a valuable range of other skills such as casting, woodwork, 3d printing, video and installation.
Dominic was previously the Freeland’s Studio Fellow at Bath Spa University (2024-25) and is also a former Co-Director at Catalyst Arts (2021-23). He is the current technical demonstrator in screen print at Bath Spa University.
