Part of the School of Education Research Seminar Series 2025-26.

About the seminar

In this presentation of a case study, Simeon Bates considers relevant background theory and policy. The strong emphasis placed on valuing student voice allows for rich qualitative data to be obtained from a small sample of secondary EAL students. Thematic analyses reveal the many ways in which music promotes and the fostering of emotional and linguistic abilities.
