Opening doors to new opportunities

This year's MA Degree Show highlights the work produced by our talented MA Fine Art and MA Design students. Many have specialised in Ceramics, Curatorial Practice, Media, Painting, Photography, Graphics, Illustration, Textiles or Visual Communication.

For some, it's a chance to exhibit their work publicly for the very first time, and for others it's a stepping stone to exciting career progression opportunities.

Meet the designers

This year's branding was designed by final year BA (Hons) Graphic Design students Alfie Maltby and Callum Hill. Here's what they had to say about their designs:

"We wanted a graphic that communicated the essence of Locksbrook, whilst keeping the focus on the courses that will be exhibiting work within the show, therefore we began this project with a thorough investigation into the visuals of the campus.

"This approach took us to the floor plans, which we found was a successful motif. We designed a versatile system which can be translated into a variety of formats, bringing it back to the theme of “Locksbrook Unlocked”.

"We paired these motifs with a cohesive typographic system which needed to be functional and dynamic, whilst speaking in the tone of Locksbrook."

The duo also worked alongside fellow BA (Hons) Graphic Design student Emily Hatherall to create this year's vibrant visuals for the Undergraduate Degree Show.
