Personal statement
Hayley’s role as an Employability Coach is to support students in taking those next steps towards their career goals. Through specialising in Curriculum Support, Hayley can bring careers to students through teaching and learning, helping them to make the most of their time here at Bath Spa and beyond. She collaborates closely with School Employability Partners to enhance curriculum design and delivery, while also managing appointments and careers activities in the central service.
Through previous experience managing projects in curriculum teams, Hayley developed her skills in leadership, strategic planning, and ensuring equal opportunities for large cohorts of students. This work carried on through her previous role as a Careers Advisor, supporting students to recognize and develop their employability skills.
With a passion for equality, diversity, and inclusion, Hayley considers this in all her work across the university, ensuring to continue learning, developing, and making a positive impact on those around her.
Currently studying for her Level 7 as a Careers Development Professional, Hayley is advancing her skills, knowledge and insights around career development, decision-making, organisational structures, and coaching, which she is passionate to bring to students and colleagues at Bath Spa University.
