Personal statement
Dr Khouloud Boukhris joined Bath Spa University in 2025 as Academic Skills Manager at the London campus. Her expertise lies in academic literacies, English for Academic Purposes (EAP), and inclusive teaching, with a particular focus on supporting diverse and international student cohorts.
In her current role, she provides one-to-one academic skills tutorials, delivers workshops, and works closely with academic teams to embed skills development into the curriculum. She contributes to a holistic approach to student achievement and engagement.
Dr Khouloud has extensive experience as a lecturer in higher education, having taught a range of academic skills, EAP, and language-related modules at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. She also supervises student projects and contributes to curriculum development.
She is also a researcher in language and conflict, with interests in discourse analysis, identity, and the role of language in shaping power dynamics.
