As a member of Bath Spa University’s Careers and Employability team, Martin’s role is dedicated to developing and managing innovative digital and visual content. The aim is to support and enhance student and graduate employability through creative, engaging, and accessible resources. His position combines artistic talent in animation, illustration, and visualization with strategic communication skills to bring information to life in a way that inspires and motivates students. Martin's extensive and illustrious career in the creative industries has been recognized, enabling him to teach within the Film and Television School at Bath Spa University as an Associate Lecturer. This role allows him to share his vast expertise and knowledge with students inspiring the next generation of creative industry professionals. 

Before joining Bath Spa University in 2020, Martin spent 20 years at RTL Television in Germany, progressing from a TV motion designer to an art director. His tenure at RTL was marked by significant achievements, including winning TV awards and directing his own productions. Martin excelled in various creative roles within the TV industry, notably as a Broadcast/Motion Designer. He thrived in high-pressure environments, creating high-quality motion graphics for RTL Aktuell, which boasted an average of 5-6 million daily viewers. He was always on standby for emergency broadcasts and breaking news, showcasing his ability to deliver under tight deadlines. 

Martin's extensive background in the TV industry, coupled with his expertise in high-pressure environments and comprehensive project management, ensures that Bath Spa University’s Careers and Employability resources are infused with creativity and strategic narrative, empowering students and graduates to navigate and advance their career paths effectively. 

Martin also has experience in start up businesses, having owned and operated two successful motion design companies that catered to international corporate clients.
