About me

Rebecca Atkins is a qualified librarian specialising in repository management and scholarly communication matters in higher education. In her role she encourages academics to engage with open research, especially open access publishing. This includes ensuring open access policy compliance for research funders such as UKRI and systems such as the Research Excellence Framework (REF). She is responsible for the management of the university’s research outputs repository ResearchSPAce and also provides library resources training to postgraduate research students.

She is a member of the university’s Open Research Working Group and REF Operational Group.
