Personal statement

Dr Ria Sidhu is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA), a Chartered Manager (CMI), and a Chartered Business and Management Educator (CMBE, CABS). She has over 15 years of experience working in UK higher education, with particular expertise in quality assurance, teaching and learning, and assessment strategy.

She currently engages with the wider higher education sector in the capacity of an External Examiner. Dr Sidhu is a Senior Lecturer at Bath Business School, where her primary role is within the Academic Partnerships portfolio. She leads the MSc Global Business and MSc Project Management programmes for Bath Spa University’s London-based partners, acting as Link Tutor.

In addition, she works closely with Bath Spa University’s Transnational Education (TNE) international academic partners in Ras Al Khaimah (RAK), UAE, serving as Link Tutor for undergraduate programmes (all pathways) and postgraduate provision.

At her core, Dr Sidhu is a social science researcher who is actively working towards REF submission and developing research with demonstrable impact. Her key research interests include higher education management and leadership, equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) with a focus on LGBTQ+ inclusion and women’s leadership, student engagement and experience, and assessment strategy.
