Personal statement

I am a practice-based researcher at Bath Spa University, where my work investigates the representation of time and existence through contemporary visual art. My research explores the proposition that the present does not exist as a tangible moment, focusing on how photography and video art can reveal the instability of the ‘now’.

Building on my MA Fine Art (Photography) studies at Bath Spa, my doctoral research combines artistic experimentation with philosophical and scientific perspectives. Through projects such as Danger Soft Mud and Erasure of Now, I examine time as both a perceptual and existential phenomenon, aiming to expand the understanding of temporality within 21st-century visual practice.
