Personal statement

Tanya is a Senior Lecturer in Business and Management at Bath Business School and serves as a Link Tutor for partner-delivered programmes. In this capacity, she is one of the University’s principal academic contacts for assigned partners, maintaining regular dialogue with programme teams, advising on enhancement and staff development, overseeing moderation and assessment, liaising with external examiners, and contributing to quality assurance activities that safeguard standards and the student experience.  

Previously, Tanya was Assistant Head of Educational Partnerships (Relationship Management), leading day-to-day operations within the Centre for Educational Partnerships to implement the University’s Partnerships Strategy. She oversaw frameworks for partner management across franchise, validated and TNE provision; line-managed staff; coordinated onboarding of new partners; and developed training for internal stakeholders and partner colleagues.  

In her broader HE portfolio, her subject interest are across entrepreneurship, innovation and management and spans to curriculum design, research-informed teaching, and sector engagement. Prior to Bath Spa, she held academic and quality roles at Coventry University, including Quality & Accreditation Lead for Transnational Education, where she coordinated moderation, progression mapping, documentation for new and existing TNE courses, and support for professional body accreditation. She also contributed to curriculum transformation and apprenticeship provision in enterprise and entrepreneurship.  

A Fellow of Advance HE and a member of the Chartered Management Institute, Tanya is active in scholarship and networks in entrepreneurship and management. Her publications and conference outputs include work on transformational/destructive entrepreneurship and international partnership academic integrity, alongside projects on women’s empowerment and public-sector data practices. Tanya is currently pursuing a PhD in the Sustainability of Transnational Education.
