Personal statement
Tim leads the team responsible for delivering extracurricular information, advice, and guidance, as well as digital tools and student engagement within the broader Careers and Employability Service. His role involves developing the employability skills framework and collaborating closely with student career champions to co-create captivating resources. Tim also supports employability coaches in delivering skills-based activities, fostering a culture of curiosity and creativity among students.
In addition to his managerial duties, Tim actively participates in various steering groups, including the Adobe Creative Campus steering group. Leveraging his own creative background, he infuses projects with innovative approaches and ensures that core objectives are met through a lens of creative exploration and confidence.
Prior to joining Bath Spa University, Tim enjoyed a dynamic 13-year career in Heritage, managing historic properties and museums for organizations such as English Heritage and Bath Preservation Trust. In these roles, he orchestrated exhibitions, events, and income generation efforts, showcasing his adeptness at blending tradition with innovation.
Alongside his professional pursuits, Tim maintains a passion for photography, with his work featured in esteemed publications like Source magazine, A History of Council Housing in 100 Estates, and his own book, The Right to this City. His multifaceted background underscores his commitment to fostering curiosity, creativity, and confidence in both his team and the wider university community.
