Personal statement

As a School Employability Partner, Vivien works in partnership with the School of Writing, Publishing and Humanities, and the School of Music and Performing Arts to embed and enhance employability, enterprise, and entrepreneurialism in the curriculum. 

Working closely with Heads of School and academic colleagues, Vivien utilises a data-informed approach that supports the Careers and Employability strategy, by ensuring equity of employability and enterprise opportunity within curriculum. Key parts of the role involve consultation for programme design and review, and collaboration with academics to co-create career learning activities and authentic assessment that enable students to develop Bath Spa graduate attributes, build skills, gain confidence, develop an entrepreneurial mindset, and support graduate transitions. 

Vivien has worked in Careers and Employability at Bath Spa University since 2014, and previously worked in community-based adult careers services.
