About ArtVenture
ArtVenture is a cooperative roleplaying game where players draw cards and respond to prompts to develop ideas for creative projects.
The game introduces learners to the variety of roles in the creative sector and highlights the possibilities of working creatively, while also being an enjoyable and accessible game. Whether playing individually or as a team, players take on the challenge to complete creative projects.
Who is it for?
- Aimed at ages 13+.
Tips on how to use it
- Play the game in a small group as part of an arts lesson
- Play the game over a longer period, alongside working on a group creative project
- Use the Action and Activity cards as prompts for discussion in a starter activity
- Use the Role cards as a starting point for research into creative careers.

- The game gives an insight into the real world of working in the arts, as an employee or a freelancer
- The game allows learners discover how different roles interact and support each other, sparking discussion and creative problem-solving

About Rob Downing
Rob Downing is an Artist and Illustrator who works on a range of creative projects from mural art to books and comics.
His work is often playful and vibrant, inspired by DIY culture and craft, and revolves around accessibility and neurodivergence, as well as celebrating and embracing individuality.
He studied Art and Design at college and works as a freelance Artist and Designer.
