Getting involved
Every month over 500 Skills Bootcamp learners and alumni receive a newsletter. This can be used to advertise your vacancies and upcoming events to an audience of learners who are actively searching for careers in your sector.
Your business can be featured on our social media channels, reaching over 500 potential customers and employees.
Skills Bootcamp learners have said that one of the most beneficial experiences of the course was hearing first-hand about working in their chosen industry from industry professionals. Share your expertise and network with our learners by hosting a guest talk or a day of workshops.
You'll have the chance to meet our learners in person by attending one of our career days. These allow you to advertise your vacancies and interview potential candidates there and then.
In the past, companies have held a series of mock interviews for our learners. These can be used as talent scouting opportunities for your company. Therefore, if a position becomes available in your company you can save money on job advertising by contacting suitable Skills Bootcamps learners.
“Working with the team at Bath Spa University has been a pleasure. To date we have run two workshops with the Skills Bootcamp in Creative Computing: UI/UX Design. The days consisted of mock interviews, design tasks and Q and As about working in the UX industry. We were able to get a fresh viewpoint on how to enhance the user experience on our App products, whilst the students had the opportunity to put into practice all the learnings from their Skills Bootcamp.”

Student Jon Woodcock said: “Lucy and Martin inspired us to be professional data geeks during this entertaining day, with clever activities and jaw-dropping examples of their work. In a word, brilliant!”
Unite Students run UX workshop for Skills Bootcamp participants
In November, Unite Students held a day of workshops, talks and mock interviews for our Skills Bootcamp in Creative Computing students.
Marie Draper, who attended the day, said: "It was great to have time with people who are currently working in the UX industry. For me, it helped to put a lot of things that we have been taught on the course into a real-life context, as sometimes theory and practice can be quite different."
“I took part in this Skills Bootcamp to learn how to code so that I could pursue a career in tech. I was given good support from my lecturers during and after the course, and can now code independently.”
