BSU’s Careers and Employability team recognised by TargetJobs Awards
Monday, 2 March, 2026The Bath Spa University Careers and Employability team has been shortlisted for HE Careers and Employability Team of the Year by the TargetJobs Awards, recognising its significant impact on the Higher Education (HE) community.
The Careers and Employability team offers a wide range of development activities, from career guidance and application help, to placements, internships and schemes such as the BSU Graduate Scheme and Juno House. They also oversee the University’s employability strategy, working with academics and employers to ensure students and graduates gain real experience, build confidence, and thrive in their futures.
Spotlighting the tangible impact the team makes across the University, this national recognition reflects its work supporting students in achieving their ambitions and strengthening connections with colleagues, external stakeholders, and the wider University; celebrating a team that has made a lasting impact and achieved meaningful results over the last year.
One of the UK’s largest early‑careers and employability award programmes, the TargetJobs Awards attract extensive participation from students, universities, and graduate employers across the country. Outlining the award criteria, TargetJobs described the shortlisted teams as having “overcome obstacles, utilised skills of all members, or collaborated with others to achieve high quality outcomes demonstrating overall service in the wider HE community.”
In the lead up to the prestigious Awards event, TargetJobs has counted nearly 100,000 individual votes across all categories. Discussing the nomination, Director of Careers and Employability, Laura Ingham, said:
“The shortlisting recognises teams who demonstrate exceptional collaboration, inclusive teamwork, and high‑quality outcomes — and we truly excel in all these areas. Every day, the team show what it means to work as one: supporting each other, sharing strengths, communicating openly, and creating an environment where every voice matters.”
This is the second consecutive year the team has been shortlisted for the award, and its continued recognition underscores the consistency and dedication embedded in the team’s everyday work, serving as a powerful endorsement from TargetJobs.
Reflecting on this, Laura said:
“This is the second year in a row we’ve been shortlisted for this award — so fingers crossed it’s our year. Even if we don’t win, this is fantastic recognition of the impact the team makes across each of their roles. I’m incredibly proud of them.”
The Awards will take place on Thursday, 16 April 2026, where nominees will be welcomed alongside an audience of distinguished guests at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House, London.
