Bath Law Clinic earns double nomination in LawWorks Pro Bono Awards 2023
Wednesday, 6 December, 2023Bath Law Clinic, a pro bono legal advice centre run as a partnership between Bath Spa University, Stone King LLP and the Citizens Advice Bureau BaNES, has been shortlisted for two categories in the 2023 LawWorks Pro Bono Awards. The clinic has been nominated for its outstanding work under the Best Contribution by a Pro Bono Clinic and Best New Pro Bono Activity categories.
Established in 2022, Bath Law Clinic operates as an initiative where law students from Bath Spa University, under the guidance of experienced solicitors from Stone King, deliver free legal advice and representation to individuals who contact the Citizens Advice Bureau. The clinic's work has had a profound impact on the local community and become a vital resource in providing legal assistance. By offering free legal advice and representation, the clinic has empowered individuals who may not have otherwise had access to justice.
The awards, organized by LawWorks, the Solicitors Pro Bono Group, celebrate the outstanding pro bono work conducted by legal professionals and organizations across the United Kingdom. They aim to recognize those who have significantly impacted the lives of individuals and communities through their voluntary legal services.
