Bath Spa University helps students ‘navigate the numbers’ as part of National Student Money Week
Monday, 27 February, 2023We are delighted to announce that we are hosting a number of events for Bath Spa University students as part of National Student Money Week 2023 (27 February–3 March), in addition to the range of money advice and support we offer all year round.
The theme for 2023 is ‘Navigate the numbers: coping with the cost of living crisis’ and throughout the week, the University’s Student Wellbeing Services and Careers and Employability team will be helping students do just that, with a series of online and in-person opportunities including:
- Budgeting workshops at both Newton Park campus and Locksbrook campus
- A cookery demonstration on-campus and free university cookbook for all attendees
- A pop-up stand from Bath and North East Somerset Council’s Fuel Poverty Team for students to ask questions and gain advice on how to save money at home
- Workshops on how to tailor your CV, as well as advice on applying for jobs that may not even exist yet.
Steve Parsons, Projects and Activities Coordinator in Student Wellbeing Services said:
“It's really important for us to be able to help students understand what support is available to them given the current cost of living. We hope National Money Week will go some way towards empowering students to make the most of the information that is out there and guide them at this crucial time."
