Personal statement

Antony is a Chartered accountant who has lived in Somerset for 30 years. He is an experienced finance professional who has considerable board and executive experience within several large international blue-chip companies. These have included organisations involved in professional services, aerospace, healthcare, and personal care. Within these roles he has developed key skills in business strategy, operational effectiveness, and risk management.

In recent years, Antony has been involved as a non-executive director in organisations focused on local communities in the South West. These roles cover social housing, health, and secondary school education.

He is a non-executive director for the RUH Bath NHS foundation trust which delivers secondary healthcare to the population of Bath and North East Somerset. He is also a trustee at the Wessex learning trust, a multi-academy trust which delivers school education across several schools in Somerset. Previously he was a board member of LiveWest Housing Association. Each of these organisations operate in a regulated environment.
