As Placements and Work-Based Learning Coordinator, Charlotte supports students to find and gain a range of  professional industry experience.

Alongside her colleagues in the Placements Team, Charlotte’s role includes teaching on placement modules, offering 1-to-1 appointments, and delivering workshops and presentations. Charlotte also supports students who are undertaking their Professional Placement Year (PPY) and acts as a main point of contact for students who are out on placement through check-ins, regular calls, and visits. She ensures students are engaged and connected to both the university and their placement role.

Charlotte is professionally aligned with the School of Science and School of Education. She is particularly focused on increasing our students' international mobility- promoting and developing international opportunities which can feel out of reach to some students. Competitions, bursaries and support have contributed to our diverse offer.
 
With over ten years’ experience in the Higher education sector, Charlotte feels enabled to advise on the complexities of student life and how to make the most of time at university. Previous experience in Hospitality and retail management which took Charlotte all over Europe has informed her knowledge and passion for enabling international experiences.
