Personal statement

Judith joined Bath Spa University in 2021 working primarily as an Academic Tutor and Lecturer in Adaptive Teaching and Inclusion and Mathematics on the PGCE Primary and Early Years courses. She currently contributes to the Early Years specialism, TaP and ITAP and has overseen the development of education for sustainable development in the Primary ITE programmes.

Prior to working in Initial Teacher Education, Judith was a classroom teacher in rural and inner city areas of deprivation as well as an international school in Budapest. She has held lecturer and programme leader roles on Early Childhood Studies undergraduate programmes.

Judith explored early maths and emergent writing in her Masters in Education. She developed an early years leadership programme for the National Children's Bureau as well as co-leading the National Professional Qualification for Integrated Leadership for the National College.  She also champions parent partnership as a key element of working with children and families.
