Why a Skills Bootcamp?

Kate Kinson took part in Bath Spa University's Skills Bootcamp in Agile Project Management at the beginning of 2024.

In this interview, she tells us about why she took part, how she is now involved with the teaching side of the Skills Bootcamps and what her highlights of the course were.

Hear from our learners

“My experience on my Skills Bootcamp was extremely positive.”

The support I received was incredible and I had the opportunity to really dig deep and think about my career path and where I see myself in the future. I've taken some of the skills and methods learned into my current role and am more confident in managing a project.

Jennifer, Student, Skills Bootcamp in Agile Project Management

“The workshop was a fantastic opportunity to work with other writers, explore new ideas and learn through critique.”

By the end of the Writing for Young People Writing Workshop I had added an additional 10,000 words to my manuscript. Receiving critique was very helpful and I always felt supported and encouraged. It was lovely to be in a creative space with other writers each week.
