Learn two different printmaking techniques and create your own artworks.

  • Learn two methods of printmaking - cyanotype and linocut.
  • Experiment with your own designs and create a set of prints.
  • Free for those who are over 19 and unemployed, on a low wage or over 50. Childcare provided.

Join artistic lead Rhona Iris on a 12-week course designed to teach you both the process of both Cyanotype Printing and linocut. You'll learn how to cut your own lino-block and produce a series of prints.

Over the course you'll be guided on how to master the simple blue-print technique of Cyanotype - an early form of photography. This analogue process is easy to pick up and Rhona has designed the so everyone can participate at whatever level suits them. The process is experimental and great fun.

Rhona will also guide you through the wonderful relief printmaking skill of linocut. You can experiment with your own designs, transform your ideas safely into lino-block designs and produce a series of prints on both specialist papers and fabric. No experience is necessary, and all materials will be provided for you.

This course is for all levels; from those who wish to enhance their own artistic work to beginners who would like to try a new process.
