Drama Fest 2019
Drama Fest is an exciting annual fringe festival at our University Theatre that features works produced by final year Drama students.
Performances can include devised theatre, physical and visual theatre, stand-up comedy, processional theatre, immersive theatre, text-based drama, Shakespearean theatre, installations and more.

Di, Viv and Rose
Starting in 1983, this hilarious comedy spanning over three decades, shows three young women come together to experience the complex dynamics of female friendship.
Di is an athletic closet lesbian coming to terms with being openly gay, Viv is an outspoken perfectionist striving towards a career in the fashion industry and Rose is a sexually ambitious artist with more enthusiasm for “thing” than her degree.

The world around you is an illusion.
Welcome to Madame Irma’s Maison de l'Illusion, a modern reimagining of Jean Genet’s The Balcony (1956), a play that accuses our world of being nothing more than a brothel, and we its eager clients.
Upon the Oaken Table
Five teens in the town of Whitby, North Yorkshire find themselves immersed in a fantasy world of Dungeons and Dragons, separated in background and social status but brought together by the camaraderie of adventure.
An unlikely friendship occurs, surviving through tragedy and hardship, helping the teens to cope with the harsh reality they reside in.
